Areas of Teaching Interest: Financial Mathematics; Actuarial Mathematics; Stochastic Process.
Dr. Wang is an Assistant Professor at the Warren Centre for Actuarial Studies and Research, University of Manitoba. She got her Bachelor and Master degrees both in Mathematics from Harbin Normal University and Harbin University of Science and Technology in China, respectively. She then pursued her study in North America and obtained her second Master and Ph.D. degrees in Actuarial Science from Concordia University. In 2010, she had a Post-Doctoral Fellow position at University of Waterloo.
Dr. Wang is interested in the application of Mathematics in Actuarial science and statistics. She applied her expertise in matrix analytical methods to solve problems in actuarial fields. Her research work is related to discounted compound renewal process and reserves for incurred but report claims under the effect of interest and inflation. Her papers are published on some leading actuarial journals.
