Charlie Curtis, OM, FCA was one of the School’s first Executives in Residence, having been named to the position in 1996. A chartered accountant by profession, he has a wealth of public sector experience, including two decades as Deputy Minister of Finance for the Province of Manitoba (from 1976 to 1996). Charlie has served on a number of boards, including Manitoba Hydro Electric, Centra Gas, Crocus Investment Fund, Mizuho Corporate Bank (Canada), Legal Data Resources Corp. and the Winnipeg Commodity Exchange. He is a member of the Investment Committees of the Civil Service Superannuation Board, Winnipeg Foundation, Manitoba Museum, and the Law Society of Manitoba. He has been Chair of Manitoba Hydro, Chief Executive Officer of the Manitoba Energy Authority and Acting Chief Executive Officer of MTX, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Manitoba Telephone System. He was president of the CA Institute in 1975.
