Dr. Sivaramakrishnan's primary interest is in the area of consumer behaviour. Issues he is currently researching include examining the effects of performing multiple cognitive tasks on the use of information and consumers' use of stereotypes in evaluating salespeople. His research interests extend to information use in managerial decision-making. Subbu's teaching experience includes Consumer Behaviour, Global Marketing, Advertising, Marketing Research, Strategic Marketing, and Marketing Management. He has been a Visiting Professor at the Universidad de Murcia (Spain) since 1991.
Subbu has received awards for both teaching and research. He was honoured with an Outstanding Teaching Award by Penn State University and an Award for Innovative Teaching by the University of Arkansas. He was recognised for his research by the American Marketing Association and received the Best Competitive Paper Award at AMA's annual summer conference.
Subbu's hobbies are photography, singing (yes, singing!), and watching football and cricket.
