Purpose:
Leaders must understand the importance of the strategic planning process. It is critical that leaders have an understanding of the role of strategic thinking and the environmental scan. Leaders must also understand how their activities relate to the strategic plan, and the broader goals of the organization. Without this understanding, the organization is at risk of the business units not being aligned with the strategy.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this module, participants will:
• Understand the importance of strategy to an organization
• Learn strategic thinking concepts
• Apply the strategic thinking concepts to their organization
• Appreciate how risk influences the strategic plan
• Understand their organization’s strategic planning process
• Understand their role as in implementing strategy
• Develop an appreciation of the relationship between their activities and the organization’s strategic direction
• Recognize how the activities of their unit align with the strategic plan
Program Cost:
The course fee is $500.00, plus GST, which includes morning and afternoon coffee/tea and a light lunch.
