Generalist

There are two majors which are Inter-Departmental: Aboriginal Business Studies and Generalist.

Introduction

Are you uncertain about the exact career path you want to follow? If so, the Generalist major is perfect for you. It allows you to take a variety of general management courses that will help you understand what is involved in a career in management. This will help you decide exactly what kind of management work appeals to you.

Program Requirements

The Major consists of one course from the required list of courses from four different Majors (i.e., Options that are not part of a Major’s required course requirements are not eligible for the Generalist Major).

Typical Careers

Managerial positions in public or private sector organizations including:

• finance manager
• production manager
• operations manager
• public relations manager
• office manager
