Hours: In our continued efforts to make our facilities as accessible as possible we will continue to explore the idea of further extending our hours. This is a multi-faceted issue with several moving parts but the conversation is certainly being had.
Cleanliness: We were happy to hear that many members noticed improvements in the cleanliness of our facilities over the past year. We are continuing to work with the Caretaking and Facilities teams to make our spaces as clean as they can be. Members will be happy to know that some of the harder to reach places (like the beams in the ALC) are scheduled for a solid scrub-down this summer. We take pride in our facility so you have immediate concerns with the cleanliness or maintenance of any of our spaces we ask you to let us know immediately so that we can tend to them as soon as possible. Our customer service representatives are always happy to hear feedback or if you prefer to remain anonymous we have tablets available at both of our desks where you can submit feedback electronically.
Combative and Dance Studios: It’s been said that these important spaces are stuck in the past a little bit. We are very excited that refreshes of both of these rooms are addressed in our multi-year capital improvement plans! The feedback that we receive is one of the ways that we understand what is most important to our members so we thank you for taking the time to re-confirm how much these spaces are valued.
Wipes: It is heartening to know how many of our members are concerned about the environment and we want you to know that we are too. We are investigating environmentally friendly and biodegradable options for our wipes.
Cell Phones can be a great tool during your workout, helping you monitor intensity, track your progress and listen to music. They can however, also be a distraction and suck valuable time from your workout if you are checking social media, and playing games. We would like to remind everyone to be conscious of how much time you are spending on exercise equipment that is not active workout time. It can be frustrating to other members who are waiting to use the equipment, if you are not using your time on the machines appropriately. We strongly encourage all of our members to “work-in” with each other in between rest periods to optimize everyone’s time in the gym.
We are continually looking for opportunities to improve your experience as Recreation Services members and value your feedback! If you missed the opportunity to provide feedback please visit our Member Feedback web page.
