- Eating Healthy in the Workplace
This 45 minute session will provide tips to tackle workday challenges and help you make positive changes for a healthier workplace and nutrition environment.
- Exercise Health Sense
Learn how to safely and effectively be active with (or without) chronic disease such as type 2 diabetes or cardiovascular disease. This session will provide practical and meaninful insight that will motivate you to move forward in your wellness journey. You will learn the basics about exercise, personalized ways of implementing an exercise program, and resources/facilities in your community. Please come in attire that will be comfortable for brief walking or wheeling on our indoor track. The session will be concluded with an open question period with a CSEP Certified Exercise Physiologist from the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management. This single class program will be held on Tuesday, February 13 from 6:30 to 8:30pm and on Saturday, March 3 from 10:30am-12:30pm. Class is FREE. - Healthy Weight Management
Arm yourself with the knowledge and practical skills to manage your weight through healthy and effective exercise and nutrition habits. This program will involve weekly group exercise sessions with a Certified Exercise Physiologist, and individualized exercise program, valuable nutrition information (including two practical hands-on sessions with a Sobeys Pharmacy Dietician) plus additional helpful resources.
- The Body Project
Do you like what you see in the mirror? All students who identify as female are invited to participate in the Body Project – University of Manitoba, a group aimed at helping participants feel better about their bodies! The Body Project is a free two session workshop (each session is two-hours in duration) designed to improve body image. Click HERE for the upcoming session information.
