#UMResearchDay2018

The theme for Research Day 2018, active learning through varied perspectives, recognizes the novel ideas and impacts that Institute affiliates have generated through their research activities. We have designed this Institute event to explore perspectives, ideas and applications of research.

Research Day provides our researchers an opportunity to showcase their research, and to discuss its potential impact. This event also provides an opportunity to interact with those who can potentially use the research results that we generate. At the same time, attendees of Research Day frequently make valuable suggestions for possible research directions based on their practical knowledge and experience. We encourage you to enjoy the concurrent sessions, and to interact with our researchers and students, during the question period that follows each presentation, research posters, and at the informal social mixers that are part of this Research Day. By engaging in two-way dialogue, we can enhance the positive impacts of research on health, leisure, human performance, and ultimately, quality of life.
