Individual Interdisciplinary Studies
The Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management is eligible to serve as a "home" department for the Individual Interdisciplinary Studies (ISS) Master's or Ph.D. The IIS program combines substantial aspects of existing discipline-based programs of at least two departments into a unique syllabus which lies outside the traditional disciplinary boundaries. Because of the individuality of each program and the need for special guidance, an Advisory Committee is required for all IIS students at the time of admission. New applicants to the program should identify a potential supervisor and seek their advice about how to create an Advisory committee.
