Healthy Living

When you need a break from studying, take a fitness class, join an intramural league or work out with a friend. Recreation Services offers everything from basketball and hockey to martial arts and ultimate.

Both U of M campuses are equipped with fitness facilities. These include an indoor swimming pool, a year-round ice hockey arena, tennis and racquetball courts, rock climbing and more!

Opening in 2014 on the Fort Garry campus, our new Active Living Centre will be a world-class health and wellness centre.

Over 10,000 fans cheered on the Bison Football team at their first game at Investors Group Field.

The U of M is proud to be a leader in university athletics. Our Bison Sports program is one of Canada’s elite inter-university athletic programs and boasts more than 350 athletes across nine disciplines: basketball, cross country running, football, golf, hockey, soccer, swimming, track and field and volleyball.

Our Bison football team practices and trains in the new Investors Group Field, home of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Come check out a game and find your inner Bison!

Our FieldTurf fields were designed to meet the quality levels of the FIFA Recommended 2 Star artificial turf pitch.
