University of Manitoba Basketball League (UMBL)

The UMBL is a recreational, competitive men's basketball league. You do not need to be a University of Manitoba student to play. The league is open to all players 18 years and older. Younger players/teams may be accommodated upon request.

The season runs Sundays, from September to April, with approximately 24 games in the New Gym at the Frank Kennedy Centre, with Basketball Manitoba certified officials. There is FREE parking evenings and weekends. Each team is guaranteed 22 games.

We are accepting new teams! Registration opens August 9, 2012 at 10:00 am for new teams and are accepted on a first come basis.

Mission Statement

To provide an enjoyable atmosphere for basketball that fosters good sportsmanship, and allows players to compete in a safe, recreational league.
