Education / Certifications / Awards: Bachelor of Physical Education – University of Manitoba, National Lifeguard Instructor – The Lifesaving Society, National Lifeguard – The Lifesaving Society, Water Safety Instructor – The Red Cross, Standard First Aid.
Experience with Children:
Taylor began her career working with children in 2008 instructing swimming lessons and gained 7 years of experience of teaching in the aquatic environment. In 2014 she joined the Mini U Programs team as a Recreation Leader. Over the following three years, she progressed to different positions within the program including Group Leader, Coach, Swim Leader, and Head Lifeguard. Taylor joined the Mini U Leadership Team in 2017 and spent two summers as a Program Supervisor before beginning as a Program Coordinator in 2019.
While obtaining her Bachelor of Physical Education, Taylor lead programs such as the University of Manitoba Intramural Soccer league, the Manitoba Physical and Health Education Teacher Education Student Leadership Conference, the University of Manitoba’s Kinesiology Games Team, and the Oak Park High School’s Leadership Course, and also competed in two National Soccer Championships with the Bisons FC Women’s team.
Taylor’s passion for sport, physical activity, physical literacy, and leadership development guided her to continue to seek opportunities to impact the core of Mini U. Moving forward Taylor envisions creating focused physical literacy development through both self-directed and lead play programming, and extending recruitment to target young community leaders.

Favorite Sports / Activities: Spikeball, longboarding from Townsend, and Spin Class.
Favorite Mini U Moment: Watching campers run through the garage door every morning at 7:45am.
