Attention Recreation Services Member:
We are excited to announce that our men’s and women’s locker rooms in the Frank Kennedy Centre (Fort Gary Campus) will be undergoing a major renovation as part of the new Active Living Centre project. Both rooms are scheduled for a complete closure starting April 23 with a tentative re-open date in late August to early September of 2012. The renovation schedule includes the following:
While we are excited about this announcement we appreciate that this process will no doubt inconvenience many of our members who use these spaces especially those with locker service. A compensation plan has been put into place to address those members with active locker service. As part of the compensation plan we are excited to announce that we will be running a locker renovation contest where we will be giving away some fantastic prizes throughout the closure period including Recreation Services memberships & programs, Apple iPods and a grand prize of an Apple iPad 2. Full contest details are available in the Frequently Asked Questions and Contest Buttons on the right hand side of this web page.
Although we are closing our locker rooms, we will be making available temporary day use lockers as well providing three alternative change/shower/rest facilities for member use to minimize disruption during the closure period. For more information on these spaces, please read the FAQ document.
