Bison defensive lineman Louie Richardson signs with CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats
Richardson will be part of rookie camp that starts the week of May 28

The Canadian Football League (CFL) Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced on Thursday, May 24 that the team has signed import defensive end Derek Drummond, non-import defensive lineman and Manitoba Bisons Louie Richardson as well as import defensive backs Clem Johnson and Josh Wilkins. All four players will take part in CFL rookie camp that starts the week of May 28.
Richardson, 26, is a 6-4, 230-pound native of Vancouver, British Columbia, that registered 12.5 total tackles (ten solo) plus one blocked kick, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in five conference regular season games with the Bisons in 2011.
His best season with Manitoba occurred in 2010 when Richardson was sixth on the team with 28.5 total tackles (16 solo) along with two fumble recoveries, one sack and one break-up while playing in all eight conference regular season games. Overall in his four seasons (2008-11) with the Bisons, he registered 62.5 total tackles (44 solo) with three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, two sacks, one break-up and one blocked kick in 23 conference regular season games.
