My name is Ian and I am a nutritional science student. Although volleyball was my sport growing up, I became a huge tennis fan when I learned how to play the sport few years ago. My other interests are watches and photography.
Chantal Lavoie (Vice President):
Hi my name is Chantal Lavoie. I'm a fourth year student in the Human Nutritional Sciences program, who has a passion for travelling and exploring new cultures! In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, participating in hot yoga classes, and running!
Michelle Vuong (Secretary):
Hello!! I'm Michelle, and I'm the go to person if you have any comments on the mini mart! Away from nutrition and university... Music is my passion! I love to sing, play the piano, flute, and currently teaching myself how to play the guitar! In my opinion, life is like musical, there's always a song you can relate to in different events of life! =)
Carly Ducheminsky (Treasurer):
Hello Human Ecology! My name is Carly Ducheminsky and I am the HESO treasurer for the year 2011-2012. This is my second year on student council and I am excited so see what the new school year brings. I am a Human Nutritional Sciences student with a focus on sport nutrition. I perform in a variety of sport activities including cycling, kickboxing, and basketball. Being a member of HESO and Human Ecology has helped me find many opportunities including, a 2-year contract with MAHE and Breakfast Television advocating Healthy Eating on a Budget, working as a student research assistant for the U of M on the Manitoba Consumer Monitor Food Panel, and working with sports teams and athletes under a sport dietitian. Jennifer Bewza (Senior ACHES Representative)
My name is Jen, and I am your 2011-2012 Senior ACHES Representative! I am a second-degree student in the Human Nutritional Sciences program (my first degree was a Bachelor of Science, and I majored in Zoology). Some things that I love are: animals, cupcakes, traveling, fancy microbrews, and dancing. Someday, I hope to write a children's book and have it published. Keep your eye out for it down the road! Carmelle Kokonas (UMSU Representative)
My name is Carmelle Kokonas and I am your HESO representative on UMSU council. I am not only the liaison between UMSU and HESO but as well as a member of the Health and Dental Committee. I grew up in the restaurant atmosphere, so food and nutrition have always been a big part of my life. I enjoy trying new exotic foods and cooking Greek food whenever I get the chance. My favourite Greek dish is called Spanakopita and I encourage everyone to try it!
Linda Duong (Events Coordinator):
I am the HESO events coordinator for the 2011-2012 year. I am currently in the 3rd year in Human Nutritional Sciences. I served on council last year, and helped volunteer and organize some events such as the A.C.H.E.S. Conference and student appreciation days. When I’m not at school, I am either working, volunteering, hanging out with my friends and family or playing volleyball on a recreational league. Hello! My name is Donna Aran and I am a Nutritional Science Student. I love spending time with my family and friends. I like to cook and bake in my free time. My future goal is to travel all around the world, especially to Paris and see the Eiffel Tower. I am also very pleased to be the first MaHSSA representative for HESO.

I am an avid cyclist throughout the year as well. I would like to bike ride in Churchill and swim in Hudson Bay! Hello, I'm Eric. I am taking Child and Adolescent Development and Family Violence within Family Social Sciences. I am a 3rd year student. I enjoy mountain biking, keeping healthy and fit, electronics and being outdoors. I grew up in the countryside and just recently moved to Winnipeg to be closer to work and the University. I am very aproachable and like to talk to new people, so don't be scared to say hello!

Hello Human Ecology Students! I am a 3rd year student in the Health Sciences program and I love it! I really enjoy Health Sciences because it is so diverse and I get learning experience in so many different areas. I also enjoy music, spending time with friends, doing hot yoga and jogging.
