The Department of Psychiaty provides numerous educational opportunities for both academic and professional growth.

Undergraduate Education
The initial didactic teaching of psychiatric illness is done in the first year of medical school. This is comprised of lectures, tutorials and clinical skills teaching. In the second year of medical school the students have one morning a week of comprehensive patient assessment ("unknown patient") and rotate through the medical specialties. See more....

Postgraduate Education
The five-year residency training program in Psychiatry at the University of Manitoba is a well established, medium-sized training program designed to produce psychiatrists with broadly-based academic and clinical orientations. See more....

Grand Rounds
