Clinical Focus

The specialty of infectious diseases provides support and management on a huge range of both inpatient and ambulatory issues, and has its basis in the optimal management of children who may or may not have infections.  Dr. Fanella’s interests reflect this focus on patient safety and also include understanding the epidemiology of bacterial infections in children.  He strives to find ways to constantly improve his teaching skills and to find innovative ways to educate the next generation of Peds Infectious Disease clinicians.
