In first and second year medical school, lecture series and tutorials cover Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) / Head & Neck anatomy, embryology, and disease management. In clinical skills sessions, medical students learn the head & neck physical exam, as well as more advanced procedural skills (airway endoscopy, otoscopy, nasal packing, and surgical airway).
During clerkship, medical students attend an academic session on Otolaryngology topics covering common and acute clinical presentations.
Local and visiting students are welcome to inquire regarding elective rotations in ENT ranging in length from two to four weeks. Interested students should contact Emi Okamoto at 204-787-7773.
