Dr Hobson’s neurology training was at the University of Manitoba under Dr R.T. Ross from 1983-1987. Training included an additional 1 year of Clinical Neurology Fellowship which included a 2 month Movement Disorder Fellowship / Elective Training Period at Columbia University under direction of Stanley Fahn in 1987.

Clinical Interests:
-Medical and surgical management of Movement Disorders including Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease, Tourette’s Syndrome, dystonia, tremor, and myoclonus.
-The role of allied health in the ongoing interdisciplinary care of Parkinson’s disease and related conditions.

Research Interests:
Dr Hobson is involved in research protocols for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease and related disorders. The Movement Disorder Program is also involved in multicenter research projects through the Huntington’s Study Group, the Parkinson’s Study Group and the National Parkinson Foundation. Local research is also being done on the epidemiology of Parkinson’s disease and aetiology of Parkinson’s.
