  • Responsible for organizing all aspects of CaRMS in family medicine
  • Organization, scheduling and tracking of residents’ required courses (e.g. ATLS, ACLS, ALARM, NRP) and SOO mock exams
  • Organizes all family medicine postgraduate events, including: orientation, welcome BBQ, resident retreat, and graduation
  • Completes confirmation of registration letters for residents, and CFPC resident communication
  • Responsible for administration of all family medicine resident awards
  • Contact for all external residents requesting electives in family medicine at U of M
  • Maintains a database of the department’s residents and graduates
  • Provides support to the family medicine chief residents

    • Residency program committee
    • Academic curriculum subcommittee
    • Curriculum review subcommittee
    • Faculty development committee
    • Resident progress subcommittee
  • Provides secretarial support to the Family Medicine Postgraduate Education Program Director, the Family Medicine Faculty Development Director, and support to the family medicine faculty leads
  • Maintains central family medicine resident and graduate files
  • Provides assistance during CaRMS to the Postgraduate Administrative Assistant
