Research summary

The goal of Dr. Halli’s research program is to promote evidence-based decision making at the district level in India with respect to maternal and child health.

To achieve this, Dr. Halli uses a program science approach to isolate and identify service gaps at the facility level as level as at community level to reduce maternal, infant and child mortality.

The research program is intended to answer questions such as whether improved utilization is getting reflected in population-level coverage of maternal and child health services? Are there inequities in utilization and coverage by certain population groups versus the rest? Are there cultural and contextual connotations to inequities?
