Chelsea Jalloh - Short Bio
Chelsea Jalloh received her M.Ed. from the University of Manitoba in 2011 and is currently an Instructor II and the Coordinator of Undergraduate Medical Education in the Department of Community Health Sciences. She is an alumna of the University of Manitoba B.A. and B.Ed. programs (2002 and 2004). In addition to academic work, Chelsea has experience working in the non-profit sector, involvement in local community based organizations, and has worked in international locations such as Mexico, Sierra Leone, Kenya, and Colombia. Chelsea’s research and academic work focuses on community-based sexual health education, development and evaluation of health education interventions, harm reduction, literacy as a social determinant of health, and the ways in which the disciplines of Education and Public Health can both intersect and collaborate. Chelsea is currently pursuing doctoral studies in the Faculty of Education at the University of Manitoba.
