Dr. Pamela Orr, MSc, MD
Dr. Orr started her career as a general practitioner with the J. A. Hildes Northern Medical Unit, working in Manitoba and the Arctic. She is currently a Professor of Medicine, Medical Microbiology and Community Health, University of Manitoba. With Dr. Linda Larcombe, Dr Neeloffer Mookherjee, Lancelot Coar and other colleagues she is engaged in research partnerships with First Nations, Metis and Inuit communities to explore promising interventions for health and wellness.  Dr. Orr is Vice-President of the Circumpolar Health Research Network and Associate Editor of the International Journal of Circumpolar Health. She is a member of the University of Manitoba Centre for Human Rights Research and the Global Indigenous working group of the International Union against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (IUATLD). Dr. Orr is as past WHO consultant, and past president of the Canadian Society for Circumpolar Health, the International Union for Circumpolar Health, the IUATLD North American Region.
