Volunteer with the Biomedical Youth Program

The Biomedical Youth Program (BYP) is looking for volunteers for its programs.  We have a variety of areas available to volunteer your time and expertise in helping out with our Saturday Science Club; Mentoring students for science projects or homework clubs; the Annual Winnipeg School Division Science Fair - as a judge or activity leader; the Annual Biomedical Youth Summer Camp - as activity or group leaders; School group science activities - engaging high school students in hands-on biotechnology experiments and prepping them for University!  The possibilities are endless, but the knowledge you bring to these students is very fruitful and it also inspires them.

The importance of volunteering with the Biomedical Youth Program is that you are helping to enrich the lives of underserved students from Kindergarten to Grade 12, especially in the inner city, who may need additional help and guidance at home or school.

To become a volunteer with the Biomedical Youth Program, we ask that you complete the University of Manitoba volunteer identification waiver.  You may also want to let us know the areas of the activities that you would like to participate in as a volunteer.

The volunteer form and area of activity interests can be submitted via email or regular mail to:
