Support and advocacy for students with disabilities of all kinds. Student Accessibility Services acts as a liaison between students and faculty staff of the University of Manitoba and support agencies within the province of Manitoba. A Student Accessibility Services representative is on the Bannatyne campus on Fridays

Student Advocacy

The Student Advocacy Office provides confidential centralized services for receiving student complaints and grievances. This centre serves as a general information source for students regarding their rights and responsibilities.
Students are assisted in the resolution of any problems or concerns resulting from academic and/or discipline decisions. Students are advised of policies and procedures to follow, both informally and formally via appeals. Where appropriate, referrals will be made to other campus resources.

Spiritual Care Service

Promoting balanced health by attending to the spiritual well-being of students. Spiritual care coordinator is on Bannatyne Campus on Thursdays 8:30am - 4:30pm.

Empower Me - Mental Health Resources

As an UMSU or UMGSA member covered by the UMSU Dental Plan, you have access to Empower Me—a mental health and wellness service. You can get support for issues of any kind, including relationships, family care, depression, anxiety, addictions, stress, work conflicts, and much more. Empower Me also offers a full suite of academic life services, such as life coaching, financial planning, and nutritional counselling.
