Founded in 1883, the University of Manitoba has been delivering quality medical education and training to physicians and surgeons for over 125 years. Post Graduate Medical Education is proud to carry on that tradition. Offering 59 training programs with the majority of those programs being certified by either the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
We will help Faculty of Medicine Programs achieve their goals by providing leadership, standards, guidelines and procedures, and support in a transparent, timely and professional manner.
To become a trustworthy and reliable source of information, support, and guidance to programs and residents by developing processes and procedures as required, sharing them with programs so as to provide a consistent experience across the faculty, identify and develop funding guidelines for fellowships and other special circumstances, and to ultimately become a central source of leadership to facilitate the training and development of qualified residents and fellows in their respective areas of specialization.
