Consultation and research support

How we can help you

As an educator, you may be interested in discovering more about effective learning and teaching, or you may want to try new innovations for teaching and learning in the classroom or clinic. We provide consultations and support for health professions educational research and evaluation activities in the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences.

We provide the following support:

Consultation and research support

We provide consultation and support at any stage of the research process from designing rigorous quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods educational research projects to writing and publishing your educational research results and findings. In some cases, we can also join your research team and take an active role in your educational research project.

Evaluation

We support evaluation within the faculty, including program evaluation (from developed programs, to those still in their early stages), evaluation of educational activities, and other projects which may benefit from evaluation. We are happy to help facilitate the process to develop an evaluation approach that works for you, and your area. We are also here to help support evaluation activities which are intended to support accreditation requirements.

Teaching

We conduct workshops on a variety of research and evaluation topics throughout the year. We conduct regular workshops as part of the OEFD faculty development activities [Link to events page on Hub 1] and at our annual Health Professions Education Research Day. We can also design and conduct tailored workshops for your program.
