Dr. Brian Postl, Dean, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences and Dr. Christine Ateah, Vice-Dean, Education are pleased to announce Lawrence Gillman, MD, MMedEd FRCSC FACS has been appointed Director of the Clinical Learning Simulation Program (CLSP) in the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences effective January 1, 2019.gillman

Dr. Gillman is an associate professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Manitoba where he practices as an acute care/trauma surgeon and intensivist. He graduated with his B.Sc.(Med.) and MD from the University of Manitoba in 2002 and completed his surgical residency also at the U of M. He subsequently earned a Master’s in Medical Education at the University of Dundee followed by fellowship training in Critical Care Medicine and Trauma Surgery at the University of Calgary. His research interests include point of care ultrasound, surgical education and multidisciplinary crisis simulation. He is founder of the national Standardized Trauma and Resuscitation Team Training (S.T.A.R.T.T.) course and editor of the Trauma Team Dynamics textbook.
