Deer Lodge Centre (DLC)

Deer Lodge Centre (DLC) is a long-term care and rehabilitation facility operated by the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) and provides in-patient, out-patient and outreach programs to the community. Deer Lodge Centre serves adults who require rehabilitation and specialized care for long term health concerns.

Within Deer Lodge Centre, CCOH operates a large well-equipped clinic on the 2nd floor. Our staff are committed to providing exceptional care the to residents of Deer Lodge Centre, Deer Lodge Centre staff and individuals within the surrounding community.

Clinic Hours:
Clinic operates 2-3 days per week Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Health Promotion Unit (HPU):
HPU provides a variety of promotional services throughout the year for older adults, including:

  • caregiver training programs for families and longterm care staff;
  • oral health presentations focused on the specific needs of older adults;
  • oral health screenings for older adults.

Student Education:
The Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry provides all fourth-year dental students and third-year dental hygiene students an opportunity to practice and experience community dentistry at Deer Lodge Centre Dental Clinic. Students are supervised by dentists and treatment is checked on a step-by-step basis to ensure exceptional quality dental care and patient safety. Appointment times may vary but most appointments completed by students are approximately 1.5 hours.
