The U of M will welcome at least 20 Brazilian graduate students (into master’s and doctoral programs) annually through the Science Without Borders (SwB) Scholarship program over the next five years.
About the Scholarship
Science without Borders is a scholarship program launched in 2011 by the Government of Brazil, which by 2015, aims to send more than 100,000 Brazilian students to study science, technology, engineering and mathematics at institutions abroad.
Successful applicants take academic courses and participate in research with direction from a faculty advisor. English Language support is available.
The scholarship covers room and board, but students are responsible for organizing their own accommodations. The U of M International Centre for Students is eager to offer assistance with this and can provide other support as well.
What units participate in this program?
All those that offer a PhD program.
