Application Deadlines


Canadian/U.S. students should submit their application and supporting documentation to the Faculty of Graduate Studies at least 3 months prior to their intended start date. International students should submit their application and supporting documentation at least 7 months prior to their intended start date. Please see the application deadline chart below.

Required Documentation


Faculty of Graduate Studies Requirements:

 

  • Application form (online or by paper copy) to apply online CLICK HERE
  • Application fee - $100 
  • Official transcripts
  • Copy of birth certificate or passport
  • For international students, an English Language test score, such as TOEFL or IELTS, is required.
  • Two letters of academic reference

Department of Environment and Geography Requirements:

 

  • For Masters applicants - a letter of intent, minimum of 1/2 to 1
    page in length.  This will briefly describe your intended research project.
  • For PhD applicants - a statement of research interest, minimum of 2
    to 3 pages in length, which provides a description of your intended research.
  • A letter of support from potential program advisor. Applicants are responsible for contacting potential advisors. CLICK HERE for a list of Department faculty members.
