Petroleum Experts Ltd. (Petex)

Petroleum Experts Ltd. (Petex), a petroleum engineering company, based in Edinburgh, UK, has given the Department of Geological Sciences, Faculty of  Environment, Earth, and Resources, University of Manitoba access to MOVE2018, a geological modelling software with a commercial value of more than £1.308m. The software suite (MOVE, 2D and 3D kinematic modelling, and fault and stress analysis) will be used to teach students the geometry of deformed regions of the continents, to understand structural geology and tectonic process. This software will allow researchers in the Department to better understand the geometry of deformed regions of the continents, and will also open up new teaching tools for geology students.
