Ph.D. Memorial University: Biology
M.Sc. Instituto Politecnico Nacional: Management of Marine Resources
B.Sc. Southern Utah University: Zoology/Chemistry

Research Interests

Dr. Luque studies vertebrate foraging ecology, and is particularly interested in mother-offspring energetics, as well as the mechanisms that affect the quality of their habitat. For his postdoctoral fellowship, he investigates the movement and diving behaviour of ringed seals in relation to environmental variability and polar bear movements in Hudson Bay, an area that is particularly affected by climate change.
