M.Sc. University of Manitoba: "An Investigation of Atmospheric Temperature, Humidity and Cloud Detection Techniques over the Arctic Marine Cryosphere"
B.Sc. University of British Columbia: Atmospheric Science and Computer Science
I am a Research Associate and Senior Research Manager at the Centre for Earth Observation Science at the University of Manitoba. I have the responsibility of leading and coordinating the research processes and reporting activities at the Centre. My current projects include the ArcticNet Integrated Regional Impact Study (IRIS) for the Greater Hudson Bay Marine Region. This is a large report written to summarize the current knowledge available for the coastal and marine environment of the Hudson Bay Region. There is also a smaller synthesis document with key messages and recommendations for policy makers. Other large projects include BaySys, the CCGS/NGCC Amundsen program, and the Pikialasorsuaq Partnership.
My research interests focus on atmospheric-ocean-sea ice interactions in the high Arctic. As part of my research, I have participated in over 13 field campaigns to monitor the changing climate and to deploy equipment such as meteorological towers on multiyear sea ice.
