Research Interests

Lucette Barber is a Research Associate and Manager of Communications and Outreach for the Centre for Earth Observation Science at the University of Manitoba. She is responsible for creating the Schools on Board program, a national outreach program for ArcticNet, that includes Arctic field programs, Arctic Climate Change Youth Forums, and Arctic Science Days aimed at high school students and teachers across Canada. Lucette has led nine Arctic field programs on board the CCGS Amundsen – Canada’s premier research icebreaker. Lucette has a Masters of Environment (University of Manitoba). In her recent position as manager of communications and outreach, Lucette oversees outreach programs and manages both internal and external communications at the centre. Her research interests include climate change education, program assessment, and communications.
