Dr. Landy studies sea ice surface roughness, in support of microwave remote sensing applications, and melt pond evolution on sea ice. He is interested in the application of three-dimensional laser scanning, satellite altimetry, and other remote sensing techniques for understanding Arctic sea ice.
Recent publication: Albedo feedback enhanced by smoother Arctic sea ice (2015)
