Responsibilities:

As the technician for PETRL, I am responsible for the mass spectrometers used for hydrocarbon and oil analysis. The instruments that we use are the Waters SYNAPT G2-Si high definition mass spectrometer, LECO Pegasus GC-HRT high time-of-flight mass spectrometer, Agilent 7010B triple quad mass spectrometer, and Agilent 5977A mass spectrometer detector. In PETRL, I maintain the instruments for the usage by students and staff for the various projects utilizing the facility. As well as operation of the instrumentation, I assist in the training of new students and staff using PETRL and the accompanying labs.
