Research Interests

My research interests include marine management, specifically evaluating ecological indicators selected for monitoring marine protected areas.  I am currently researching beluga whale health indicators, the focal species in the Tarium Niryutait Marine Protected Area. I am evaluating body condition indices by identifying significant trends and determining if body condition trends correlate with environmental drivers. This research involves working alongside management agencies to incorporate findings into future monitoring plans.
