Research Interests

My research aims to increase our understanding of the impacts of population redistribution and expansions to higher latitudes on ecosystem structure and function. Specifically, I am using stomach content and stable isotope analyses to examine diet and niche overlap of ringed seals, harp seals, and capelin in Cumberland Sound, Nunavut. This will allow us to assess the potential for competition between newly-abundant sub-Arctic species and resident species at both high- and low-trophic levels.
