Looking for a way to get hands-on experience using the Engineering knowledge you're gaining? Look no further than UMSAE! UMSAE is a technical society that allows students to go beyond textbook theory and apply actual engineering principles to the real world task of designing, building and testing vehicles. UMSAE participates in annual competitions hosted by SAE International in conjunction with industry partners and compete with teams from countries around the world. This society allows students to apply their skills to all aspects of a real world projects including analysis, design, manufacturing, testing, and marketing. UMBMES exists to bring together students at the University of Manitoba interested in the biomedical field; specifically, to source and propagate knowledge pertaining to the biomedical field, and to apply this knowledge through biomedical oriented events, research, tours and tutorials. As a group UMBMES also aims to provide its members with the following resources: a list of current biomedical course options, industry in Manitoba, labs both on and off campus and professors who are currently doing biomedical research at the University.

Membership to UMIEEE includes a subscription to the IEEE publication Spectrum as well as access to the IEEE electronics lab and computer lab, the lounge, well-stocked canteen, and a comprehensive archive of past exams. Members can also partake in many of IEEE's activities and events.

UMATT is a student design group consisting of members from the Agriculture, Biosystems Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering departments at the University of Manitoba. Their goal is to design and fabricate a fully functioning quarter scale tractor for the ASABE competition each spring.
>> UNIVERSITY OF MANITOBA SPACE APPLICATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY SOCIETY (UMSATS) (external)
UMSATS is a university student group that foster space exploration at the University of Manitoba. UMSATS was officially formed on February 2, 2011 as a parent organization to host the T-Sat project and future initiatives fomenting space exploration at the undergraduate and graduate level at the U of M.
>> UNIVERSITY OF MANITOBA STUDENTS' ENGINEERING RESEARCH GROUP (UMSERG) (external)
UMSERG is a student-run organization that exists to provide the student body in the Faculty of Engineering with information and guidance in regards to the fields of research at the University of Manitoba. UMSERG works with the faculty, students and industry in order to further student interest and involvement in research. The group looks to bring together students interested in research within the Faculty to discuss current events and provide guidance, if looking to pursue research based employment opportunities and/or graduate studies.
>> GREAT NORTHERN CONCRETE TOBOGGAN RACE (GNCTR) (external)
