International Engineering Programs

The International Engineering Program (IEP) unit provides opportunities for students to obtain international experience as part of their program of studies in becoming an engineer.  In this way, students have the opportunity to learn the language and culture of another country and through their experiences are more globally-minded and aware as engineers and better prepared for international collaborative work.

University of Manitoba engineering students can study abroad in a classroom setting or partcipate in an internship at the host country. In addition, the IEP unit also helps students from our partner universities participate in an exchange at the University of Manitoba  This is done through administrative support, airport welcome and pick-up, and adjustment to their studies in the university.
