Your Co-op/IIP work term fee pays for all the support and services of the Co-op/IIP. Students can take advantage of the wide range of career development services offered by Co-op/IIP. It is up to the student to choose the services that are right for them. The program delivers career development seminars and one on one support for individual students. Co-op/IIP helps employers recruit by helping them hold information sessions and/or networking opportunities (HIRED Reverse Career fair). The Co-op/IIP staff represent the need for more student hiring in publications (Keystone Professional for example), at conferences and industry forums. We are sales agents for the cohort of Co-op/IIP students. Co-op/IIP has advocates for hiring incentives to increase the number of employers able to hire students and advocates for the recognition of pre-graduate experience with the Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba. The work term fees are directed back to Co-op/IIP and allow the program to reach more employers, more industry councils and offer more services and support.
