COMPUTER SERVICES

  • CREATING COMPUTER (ClaimID) & EMAILmail Accounts
    • Go to http://umanitoba.ca/computing/ist/accounts/claimid.html 
    • Follow the Step-By-Step Instructions to create a computer and email account
    • Print out your logons and ID displayed at the end of this process
    • You will use these logons and ID (UMNET) throughout your stay at the University.  This ID will allow you to
      • Register for courses
      • See you grades
      • See and pay your fees
      • logon to computers in most labs on-campus
      • logon to classroom computers to teach courses 

 

 

ACCESS TO LABS, ROOMS, BUILDING

  • UNIVERSITY ID CARDS -- The University ID card allows Grad Students access to various parts of the EITC Building (engineering)
    • You may apply for your University ID Card once you have Registered for Courses (FOR the very first time)
    • Fill-in the ID Card Form
    • Normally -- Go to the
           ID Centre NEXT TO the Registrar’s Office
           400 University Centre
          open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m
    • Heavy Registration Periods -- Please check LOCATION during heavy registration periods http://www.umanitoba.ca/student/records/pii/ 

  • CARD KEY ACCESS FORM
    • Fill-in the Card Key Access Form found in your WELCOME PACKET  
    • Print out the form and bring it to Room E2-390 -- Amy Dario            
  • DOOR CODE FORM 
    • Ask your advisor to which rooms you require DOOR CODE ACCESS
    • Have him/her sign the Door Code Form found in your WELCOME PACKET and submit it to Amy Dario, E2-390
