Terms of Participation

Participation in the program requires a fee of $1000. Both the participating company and the design engineering student sign a contract, which outlines the project objective and deliverables. Please note that the company does not employ the design group.

How to Participate

  1. Obtain an application form (choose one of the following options).
    1. Apply on-line by filling out the on-line application form.1
    2. Download the printer friendly version (right-click and select 'save target as...') and fax it to 204.474.7676.
    3. Call our office at 204.474.7205 to request a form.
  2. Complete and submit the application form (on-line for by FAX) outlining your engineering design problem to the UofM IDEA program by August 12, 2011.
  3. Industry collaborators will be informed of project approval by September 9, 2011.

After completing the on-line application, an email will be sent from our office within 2-3 working days to confirm that we have received the application. If you do not receive a confirmation email after you have submitted an application, please contact our office. If you have problems accessing the on-line form or downloading and printing the printer friendly versions please email UofM_IDEA@umanitoba.ca.
