All students wishing to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree in one of our five departmental programs must first complete 12 preliminary year Engineering courses. These courses are common to all students, and at least 8 of these courses must be completed before a student is eligible to transfer into a departmental program. The courses can be taken through both University 1 (U1) and through Direct Entry into the Faculty of Engineering from high school.
Students admitted through Direct Entry into the Faculty of Engineering are considered "Engineering Undeclared" students and have access to student advisor resources through the Engineering Dean's Office.
