Bill is a Mechanical Engineer with over thirty (30) years of experience in the mechanical and electrical engineering fields and worked in quality assurance at all levels, including government, the service industry, and as a client. In 2007 he graduated from the Athabasca University Executive MBA program in project management. Bill completed the University of Manitoba Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1977, and graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a BA in Mathematics in 1976. In 2009 he started taking his Doctorate in Project Management from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in Melbourne, Australia. His thesis, which is in the early development stage, is an integration of professional and amateur sport and project management. Presently he is on temporary leave from the program.
Since 1986, Bill has worked in both the mechanical and electrical disciplines. He has served as the Project Manager, on many federal government and private-sector new and renovation projects, managing the mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural designs from the Request for Proposal stage through to final commissioning. He is registered as a Professional Engineer in the following Provinces and Territories: Ontario; Manitoba; Saskatchewan; Alberta; Northwest Territories, and Nunavut, and; British Columbia.
Bill is looking forward to sharing his knowledge and experiences with students, helping them apply the teachings to their real life experiences, and gaining insight from their future aspirations.
