Ten Helpful Things to Know
  1. Can I search for courses online?
    Search for Summer Session 2012 courses in Aurora Student:
    • select Class Schedule
    • search by course, subject, instructor and more!

  2. Do I need to apply for admission?
    If you are not already admitted to the University of Manitoba, you are required to apply for admission. Undergraduate applications for admission to Summer Session 2012 are accepted for University 1, General Studies (Extended Education), Faculty of Arts, Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Education, Clayton H. Riddell Faculty of Environment, Earth, and Resources, and the Faculty of Science. Please go to Admission for more information.

  3. How & when do I register?
    You may register using Aurora Student. Registration begins March 19, 2012, and continues until the course start date. Please go to:

    Early registration is recommended because many courses fill quickly, and the viability of courses is determined based on enrolment.

  4. How do I pay my fees?

    You may view your registration fee assessment in Aurora Student. Enter Secure Area and login, select Enrolment & Academic Records, then Registration, and then Registration Fee Assessment.

    Important: You will not be sent a fee statement in the mail. You are responsible for your fee balance and making payment prior to the deadline. Please go to:

  5. Are my fees refundable?
    If you withdraw from a Summer Session course (subject to published policies and procedures), you may be eligible for a fee refund. Please go to Voluntary Withdrawal (VW), Refund Schedule, and Irregular Refund Schedule.

  6. Where do I get a student I.D. card?
    Picture identification (I.D.) cards are required to access a variety of services available to Summer Session students, including the library, athletic facilities, and access to exams. Students who do not have a picture identification card should obtain one at the I.D. Centre.

  7. Where can I park?
    Parking for Summer Session is by permit only. Parking in the evening (after 4:30 p.m.), May through August, is free of charge; no permit is required (except in the parkade or in spaces marked 24 hour reserved). Please go to Summer Parking.

  8. Where can I buy books and supplies?
    The University Book Store is located in University Centre at the Fort Garry Campus, and the Brodie Centre at Health Sciences Centre Campus. Please go to University Book Store for hours and other information including online ordering.

  9. Where can I eat?
    Dining rooms and canteen facilities provide a variety of food services for summer students. Please go to Food Services.

  10. How do I obtain a tuition receipt for Income Tax Purposes?
    Tuition and Education Amounts Certificates, Form T2202A, for income tax purposes will be issued online through Aurora Student. Please go to Canadian Tax Forms (T2202A) for instructions.
