How Fees are Calculated
[Tuition + Endowment + Student Organization + Student Services Fees + Technology Fee + Other Fees]
The calculation of your tuition and other fees is initiated by registration. The calculation of tuition fees is dependent on the program in which you are enroled – per credit hour fees or program based fees. In addition to tuition fees, you may be assessed Endowment Fees and/or Student Organization Fees based on the program in which you are registered. All students are also assessed The Technology Services Fee and Student Services Fees. Lab Fees are assessed for courses with a lab component, while course with a Field Work component are assessed fees on a cost recovery basis for expenses related to Field Work.
Important: You will not be sent a fee statement in the mail. You are responsible for being aware of your fee balance and making payment prior to the deadline.

Failure to withdraw through normal procedures will result in a grade being assigned to all courses in which you are registered at the end of term.
Sponsored StudentsIf your fees are to be paid by an outside agency or sponsor, the sponsor must submit a Tuition Sponsorship Application form. Applications must be received prior to the fee deadline to avoid late payment penalties and holds on your student account. If your fees are to be paid by government Financial Aid after the fee payment deadline, please contact Financial Aid & Awards, at (204)474-8197.
Age ExemptionFees will be waived for Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents who reach the age of 65 by May 1 for the Summer Session, provided they have been admitted and are eligible for registration. Proof of age and citizenship status may be required.
Fee Assessment AppealsIf you want to appeal your academic fees on medical or compassionate grounds, you must do so in writing on a Fee Appeal Form. For more information regarding appealing academic fees or late payment fees, go to Fee Appeals.
