Once you have received your notice of admission, you may register for part-time or full-time studies.
Student registration is completed through the AURORA website. Please follow the instructions below to register for your course.
Aurora On-Line (WEB) Registration Instructions
Winter 2012 registration is open. Winter/Summer registration is November 1/11 until January 4/12 (late registration ending January 17/12). During registration the Aurora system is then open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until the end of the Registration Revision Period. For important deadline dates, please see the Registrar’s Office website, click, on Important Dates and Deadlines.
To register, go to the University of Manitoba Home Page umanitoba.ca;
Select: Current Students → Aurora Student (located in the blue area)
Select: Enter Secure Area
Enter ID: This is your seven-digit Student Number (found on the top right corner of your Letter of Acceptance)
Enter PIN: Personal Identification number – if this is your first time accessing Aurora, your PIN is your date of birth as YY/MM/DD. Do not enter your JUMP password. If you have forgotten your PIN, contact the Registrar’s Office at (204) 474-9420 for help (Toll free in N. America 1-877-474-9420).
Select: Enrolment & Academic Records
Select: Registration
Select: Look up classes;
select Term (e.g. Winter 2012) Submit;
Note: You do not need to select any other attributes, go to the bottom of the page and select Get Courses.
Select: The box that corresponds with the section you wish to register in.
Select: Register
Go to: top of the page (right hand side) and select Return to Menu
Select: View Account Summary by Term - Assess your fees even if you have only added one course. And please ensure you pay your tuition fees before the deadline indicated on your Account Summary, or you will be charged a late fee and a hold will be place on your record. Please note that this is the only confirmation of your Account Summary and you will not receive anything in the mail
Go to: top of the page (right hand side) and click on Return to Menu
Select:Student Records (View holds, grades, transcripts and account summary)
Select: View Booklist

* * To drop a course select Add or Drop classes, click on the action pull-down list to select DROP and select Submit Changes
