Campus Manitoba

Campus Manitoba (CMB) is a consortium of Brandon University, the University of Manitoba, the University of Winnipeg, College universitaire de Saint-Boniface, Red River College, University College of the North, and Assiniboine Community College. CMB facilitates access to post-secondary education throughout the province of Manitoba. CMB is a unique program in that students receive credit for courses offered by any of the participating universities. As a result, most courses offered by one university have transfer equivalents at the other two, and vice versa.

Despite the virtually seamless transfer of credits, students must choose a home university. That university will evaluate and approve the student's application for admission, hold all earned credits and will be the university from which the student expects to graduate. At the end of their studies, students graduate from their home university not from Campus Manitoba.

Coordinators at Regional CMB centres provide academic and logistical support for students enrolled in Campus Manitoba.

cvu-uvc.ca

The University of Manitoba is a founding member of the Canadian Virtual University-Université virtuelle canadienne (CVU). CVU is a partnership of Canadian universities that have combined their resources and distance education offerings to provide students with more options for degree credit courses, programs, and degrees. Students in eligible programs at the University of Manitoba (UM) can choose from a wide range of courses from CVU and apply these courses towards their UM programs.

Students in eligible programs at CVU partner universities may take courses at the University of Manitoba and apply these to programs at their home universities. There are no fees for Letters of Permission or visiting student applications for CVU students.

Benefits for students include:

• using the CVU web site to choose from a wide range of courses;

• transfer of credit from one member university to another without extra costs; and

• on-line visiting student application and letter of permission forms.
